The Spa-Francorchamps Circuit and its Formula 1 in the Heart of Ardenne

The Belgian Grand Prix is an automobile race that is part of the Formula 1 World Championship. The famous Spa-Francorchamps circuit has resounded with a thousand and one fabulous sagas since the start of the 20s, when the races were on dirt tracks at the wheel of some monstrous motors. In 1939, a unique bend arose out of mankind's imagination... le Raidillon. The 308.176 km race comprises 44 turns around this circuit whose length was shortened, in 1983, from 14 to a little less than 7 km. The Grand Prix takes place there every year with its store of surprises, suspense and emotions. This test is clearly one of the season's most attractive, drawing almost 60 000 aficionados every year!

It's no accident that the circuit is recognised by drivers and their teams alike as the world's most beautiful; it's because the Ardenne track and its magic triangle between Francorchamps, Malmedy and Stavelot drew their force of character from magnificent natural surroundings. Driving, speed, records, sensations... this circuit generates dizzying emotions!

Numerous other races exist to delight motor sports fans, among them endurance tests such as the 25 H VW Fun Cup, the 24 H 2CV; the historic races, with the Spa Classic, the Spa Summer Classic and the Spa Six Hours.  The World Series by Renault is aimed mainly at families, while the Bikers Classic and the 6 heures Moto thrill two-wheel enthusiasts...
